Meet Me at OCC Pop-Up
Oz Comic-Con Sydney is Australia's premier pop culture and comic-con event. This year, due to Covid-19, a special event will happen at Olympic Park, from Saturday March 6 to Sunday March 7, 2021: OCC Pop Up, a community-based event with spaces and activities for cosplayers, comic writers and artists, family activities, places for tabletop and console gamers. Find me there at Sydney Showground in the Artist Alley, stand AA59.
ABOUT OZ COMIC-CON
Oz Comic-Con is a series of annual events across the east coast of Australia, showcasing the best of entertainment and pop culture; including exhibitors, studio activation, celebrity guests, comics district, anime screenings, guest and community panels, and gaming.
The largest comic book convention is San Diego Comic-Con International, also known as Comic-Con International: San Diego, held annually in San Diego, California, USA each July. San Diego Comic-Con International is a nonprofit multi-genre entertainment and comic book convention held since 1970.
After the craziness of 2020, this year in March, Oz Comic-Con 2021 organises a POP UP Event in Sydney. The main Oz Comic Con is set to take place at Sydney Showground in September this year.

For the first time, I’ll be at an OCC event as an exhibitor in Artist Alley. It feels good to see things starting up again in this strange COVID-19 time, and I can’t wait to catch up again with other comic fans and artists.
So what’s OCC POP UP exactly?
OCC POP UP is the newest pop con offering, bringing the Oz Comic-Con community back together for an activity-focused weekend of comics, local cosplay competitions, console gaming and tabletop gaming, anime, and more!
This year, the event has a focus on the pop culture communities with activities and activation. Exhibitors and artists are involved so you can shop and enjoy workshops, presentations and displays.
To comply with the COVID-19 regulations, the event will be a bit different from the usual Comic-Con as days will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions.
You’ll find our booth just in front of the dancing area!
Where to get OCC POP UP tickets?
Most tickets give you access to a specific session time for the venue to manage the crowd and stay Covid-Safe in compliance with government guidelines and regulations. You can purchase tickets to attend more than one session.
There is a limited number of full day tickets where you will only need to leave between session times. There will be a separate area that will have catering and bathroom facilities for you to use as a rest period between sessions.

WHERE and when IS THE EVENT?
OCC POP UP will be held at the Sydney Showground inside Olympic Park, March 6 – 7, 2021. Catch the train to Olympic Park station, or one of the various buses driving there. It’s also easy to park there if you decide to drive.
Sessions times:
Saturday 6th March:
9:00am – 1:00pm
1:30pm – 5:30pm
Sunday 7th March:
10:00am – 1:30pm
2:00pm – 5:30pm
